Answered by the admin Hi Adam, Unfortunately this switch does not fit any of our bread boards when we have tested it.
  2. Hi I am considering putting the torch into a plastic tube and wondered if It is possible to wire up the battery pack so that it can be accessed outside the tube. I also plan to wire up the switch too and fix this to the wall of the tube. I'd be grateful for your thoughts on this.

Answered by the admin Hi, That sounds fine. you can cut a hole in the tube to gain access to the components and if you wanted you could solder the flying leads between the board and the components. many thanks
  4. I'm a secondary teacher looking at doing this as a potential project with some year 6 students as a transition day activity. I'm considering fitting the circuit into a tube. Is there anyway you could tell me the diameter of the project at it's widest point?

Answered by the admin Hi Matt, These kits make great little torches especially in tubes so hopefully will work well. The PCB is 15mm wide, however with the switch mounted on the board this increases to approximately 19mm where the switch sits.
  6. I am in America. Would love to have this same kit for a A or AA battery. Possible?

Asked by KUrt Thonnings on January 4, 2018 12:00 am
Answered by the admin Hi Kurt, Unfortunately the kit is designed to run off the 12V battery that is used. If it was changed then it would mean that the battery holder wouldn't fit on the board and would require a whole new board. At this point a new kit would be better but not something we are looking at unfortunately. We don't have another kit similar to this that uses AA batteries or similar.
