This simple kit offers a compact alternative to using two AA batteries.

The coin cell holder takes a CR2032 cell,

which is included. There is a small on / off switch and pads with strain relief to take power from the board.

Coin cells can deliver about 20mA continuous current which is enough to power several of our kits such as the bike lighteasy build timer, record and playback or air freshener project kit.

This kit is supplied as a pack of parts and requires soldering.

PCB dimensions: 43.5mm x 28mm.

Answered by the admin H Abi, As the Led has a forward voltage of 3.2 volts that won't be a problem to power it without a resistor. The only slight issue you might have is you find that the LED gets dimmer slightly quicker as you are starting with a voltage close to its cut off point.

Answered by the admin When you say 3 speakers I'm assuming that you mean one channel has one speaker and the other channel has 2 speakers on it. When you put the two speakers in parallel you will half their combined resistance so the 8 ohm load becomes 4 ohms. The IC that drives the speakers can handle 4 ohms so that's fine. What should be stated is that although it is possible to add an extra speaker it won't make the sound any better quality or any louder it will only change the athletics of the design.
