This key switch is a SPST (Single Pole Single Throw) switch which is activated by the key, turn one way to close the switch, the other to open.

The key can be removed in both positions, and the switch is supplied with two keys.

This key switch makes a great addition to our Alarm Project Kit.

    Answered by the admin Hi Colin, Thank you for your question, this should be a simple change as the key switch has two contacts on the bottom. You would replace the slide switch with the key soldering the wire to the two contacts on the switch and this should allow you to switch on or off the power. best regards Cullen

    Answered by the admin Hi Thomas, Thank you for your question. The main switch is 20mm long not including the solder points. The widest portion of the head is 15mm and the shaft is approximately 12mm Diameter as is the thinnest portion of the head. Best Regards Cullen

    Answered by the admin Hi Zac, The switch itself is approx.: 25mm in length from front to back, 10.5mm in diameter around the main body, and 15mm in diameter for the front of the switch.

    Answered by the admin I don?t know which circuit you have but you just connect the two terminals on the switch as you would with a standard push to make switch. When the key is turned one way the switch closes when it is turned the other way the switch opens.
