Light of Night Orb
MyMiniFactory is a fantastic 3D printing website dedicated to hosting both free and paid 3D printing designs. They have some designs based on our own kits that are available for free!
You can see some designs for you to download including our Light of Night Orbs (below) and our FM Radio Kit.
Light of Night Orb
All you have to do to enter is to design a 3D printed case for some of our popular kits! The kits we would like you to make cases are listed below and are available as a .STL file. The .STL files are available as a .zip file next to the kit:
- Mono Amplifier – .STL file.
- Stereo Amplifier – .STL file.
- Deluxe Stereo Amplifier – .STL file.
- Rear Bike Light – .STL file.
- Colour Changing Night Light – .STL file.
- USB Lamp – .STL file
You can use the design software of your choice. To get started, we’d suggest free design software like Meshmixer, Tinkercad, Autodesk Inventor or Sculptris.
Meshmixer can be particularly useful if you want to meshmix the templates with any existing model on our platform and turn it into whatever you like!
Unbeatable Beats Boombox
Check out this MyMiniFactory blog post for more design tips for 3D printing. Each part of your object must fit within a build volume of 18 x 18 x 18 cm and it needs to be 3D-printable.
All you have to do is simply download the templates, model around the designs and upload your .STL files. You can upload your .STL file to the MyMiniFactory website between 14th August and 4th September.
The object with the most overall downloads will win the grand prize of Zmorph 2.0S 3D Printer! The top 5 entries per category (30 winners in total!) will receive their designs printed and assembled with our electronic project kits.
Voting is counted by the number of unique downloads worldwide and starts on the 15th September and closes on the 22nd September. Make sure you download your favourite! The winners will be announced on the 25th September.
