Q Can this material be used by artists for traditional hand engraving with traditional sharp tools?
Asked by Paul on March 14, 2025 12:00 am
Answered by the admin This isn’t a method we have used before however after trying this we were able to make a criss-cross pattern using a v-shaped linocut tool, and a larger patch using a U-shaped one. So although it is possible, it was fairly difficult to do as the sheets are tough and the surface is very glossy so ensuring the tools didn’t slip was an issue. Great care must be taken to avoid injury while working with the material in this method as it isn’t the method we would suggest.

Answered by the admin Hi Robert,

Thank you for your question, it should work on a CNC machine but we are unfortunately unable to get hold of colour on clear at the moment but it is something we are keeping an eye out for.
