This 5mm RGB LED is a white diffused type LED with high luminous output and a common cathode. It contains three LED elements, red, green, and blue and each element can be controlled independently. Varying the amount each element is turned on allows you to create any colour. The white diffusion ensures an even light output from the LED.

The LED has four pins/legs, a; blue Anode(1), green Anode(2), Common Cathode(3), and a red Anode(4). The Common Cathode is the negative connection and is the longest of the four legs/pins, making it easily identifiable.

The LED has a high Luminous output, 2180mcd, and 60-degree viewing angle. You can find this type of LED used in a wide variety of applications. They are used in; Toys, games, audio equipment, and a variety of other lighting.
